Microbial Air Quality - bacteria, molds, yeast, mildew - 3 locations in a house $170 wet basements and crawl spaces provide moisture for microbial growth. Fungal and bacterial spores are respiratory allergens for many people causing sneezing, wheezing, itchy eyes, runny nose.
Legionella can be found in poorly chlorinated spas and hot tubs as well as air conditioning cooling towers, humidifiers, therapy pools, moist soil and water. The bacteria can cause Legionaire’s disease or Pontiac Fever $125
Enterococci are enumerated to determine the pollution content of marine (salt) water just as E. coli is used for fresh water (lakes, ponds, rivers) to determine if water is safe for recreational use such as swimming, fishing etc. ($95 per sample).
Pseudomonas is ubiquitous in water, soil, plants and can cause swimmer's dermatitis as well as respiratory infections, urinary tract infections ($85 per sample).
Giardia is a parasite causing extreme gastrointestinal infections contracted by drinking contaminated water. Initial screening test is $65, cost $325 for a complete test.
Algae grows in any water with sunlight. Common in ponds. Many cause complete coverage of pond surface. Identification $115.

Testing for inorganic chemicals

Pond, lake, aquarium chemical testing including copper, fertilizers, ammonia, sulfates, pH, iron, hardness, others. Cost is $130. Determines if water is suitable for fish.
Heavy metals - arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, selenium, silver, uranium and other metals cost $35-55 each.

Oil and grease includes heating oil, diesel, kerosene and other oils and greases in water. Cost is $140. Total organic carbon (TOC) $65
Gasoline in water cost $145.
Antifreeze in water near junkyards, landfills. $40
Pesticides, herbicides costs vary. Ask about general families or a specific pesticide.
